Free Monthly BBQ’s Bringing Together People From All Walks of Life

Together2 have begun hosting Free Monthly Community BBQ’s to help unite the local community by sharing a meal together. The first Community BBQ was held at the together2 Centre and despite the rain, 80 people gathered inside the neighbourhood centre to make new friends and enjoy a BBQ.

At the BBQ’s there is live local music, an array of food and kid’s craft activities for everyone to enjoy. You not only get to see familiar faces but mingle with other residents, families and members of the community in a beautiful garden setting.

“It’s really great to see so many people come together to share a meal and have a chat. After Covid, we’ve all seen how important social connection is and the Friday monthly BBQ is a fun way to foster that sense of community,’ said Marco De Angelis, Community Manager at together2.

“My friends and I always get together for coffee and morning tea, but we always look forward to the BBQ’s to catch up with everyone and have a sing-along to the live guitarist,’ said Patty, a local resident in the area.

Everyone is welcome to come and to bring along their friends, family, and neighbours. Stay tuned for 2023 dates.
