We have been on this corner for more than forty years, most of it as the Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre.

What we do
Come for the food, stay for the people

Free food
Fresh bread on Wednesday, fruit and veg on Friday. Take what you need, no questions.

Meal deliveries
Weekly cooked meals with Good in the Hood. You can refer yourself.

Cooking programs
Cook meals for neighbours who need them. Somebody will show you how.

The garden
Grow things beside somebody, and take home whatever is ready.

Events
Cinema Under the Stars, all abilities carols and barbecues. All free.

Volunteering
Two hours or twenty. You do not need experience.

We deliver the Community Strengthening Stream
Funded by the NSW Government (DCJ), we build safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces that bring people together, strengthen the neighbourhood and ease social isolation.

Good in the Hood
A local charity delivering more than twenty thousand meals, hampers and snack packs a year across Balmain, Lilyfield, Birchgrove and Rozelle. They bring the volunteers, home cooks and local restaurants. We bring the hub and the kitchen.

OzHarvest
OzHarvest collects good food that would otherwise be thrown away and delivers it to us free of charge. Much of what we hand out at Breadnesday and the Pop-Up Pantry is rescued food.

Meals cooked by neighbours, for neighbours.
Our partner charity brings the volunteers, home cooks and local restaurants. We bring the hub, the kitchen and the coordination.

Our second room
Going to Mort Bay? Book ahead.
Our community room at Mort Bay is a ten minute walk from the hub, and it is where a lot of the regular groups live. There is no office there, so ring or email and we will keep you a spot.

More than a hundred people volunteer here every week. Take them out and almost nothing on this page happens.
