Our Future: the Community-Led Plan 2026 to 2029
Our plan for the next three years, the three lived realities it is built around, and the road ahead.
Our plan for the next three years invests in specialist services for people with disability and older Australians, and reawakens the Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre as a hub for everyone. It was co-designed with our community in October 2025 and endorsed by our Board.
A vibrant, inclusive hub where disability, aged care and community services converge. A place where everyone, regardless of ability or age, finds connection, purpose and belonging.
Our vision for 2029
Three lived realities
Meaningful work
Inaccessible workplaces, poor job design and isolation lock people out of work that means something. We are building local answers: inclusive roles in community services and hospitality, volunteer pathways through Good in the Hood, and SLES placements that give school leavers real workplace experience.
A home of their own
Secure, accessible, affordable housing is the foundation of everything else. Specialist Disability Accommodation reaches some people; most rely on mainstream housing that is neither affordable nor accessible. We advocate locally, support home-sharing models, and are exploring Shared Lives and Individualised Living Options.
A connected life
Communities work when everyone in them has both belonging and a say. That means spaces built for collaboration, trauma-informed support through the hard transitions, civic participation, and intergenerational programs that put young and old in the same room.
The road ahead
The plan is ambitious. This is the sequence we are working to.
2026 · Build the foundations
NDIS mid-term audit. Direct aged care registration. Café funding secured. Wellbeing Hub partnerships formed.
2027 · Open the doors
The café opens. SLES employment pathways scale up. NDIS, aged care and community programs running side by side rather than in separate boxes.
2028 · Embed and grow
Wellbeing Hub fully operational. Housing options such as Shared Lives and ILO expanding. Community-led governance maturing.
2029 · A community thriving
Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre re-established as a genuine Inner West hub, and together² recognised for clinical and behavioural excellence.
